4/16 – Maritime Hotline

Since 1 April 2016, the German Flag has been available around the clock to shipowners, seafarers, government agencies, and other organizations via a 24/7 on-call service for technical inquiries and emergencies.

With this service, the Federal Maritime and Hydrographic Agency and the Ship Safety Division of the BG Verkehr are expanding their availability for shipping-related inquiries. Direct contact with the German Flag is now possible at all hours of the day and night, as well as on Sundays and holidays, to answer shipping-related questions and resolve urgent matters.
