The new Service Team is available to you 24/7 for all questions and issues concerning the German Flag – across agencies, competent, fast.
The German Flag Service Team has been in operation since April 2025. The cross-agency team, guided by the principle of “one face to the customer,” consolidates all key services for shipping companies and seafarers. Customers do not need to consider responsibilities within the German Flag system—this saves time and money.
The Service Team handles all customer inquiries regarding the German Flag 24/7. The unit consists of employees from the Ship Safety Division of BG Verkehr and the Federal Maritime and Hydrographic Agency (BSH).
