The main event for the International Day for Women in Maritime will take place in Leer from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Under the theme “From Strategy to Impact: Empowering Women in the Maritime World,” panels, workshops, and project presentations will highlight how women are helping drive progress in the maritime industry.

At 7:00 p.m., the Runder Tisch Frauenleben in Ostfriesland will host an additional event: Women from seafaring an maritime science will share their perspectives on the shipping industry in a panel discussion. Registration for this evening event is handled separately via email at gleichstellung@hs-emden-leer.de.
In addition:
Also on 18 May, a co-event will take place in Hamburg from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., held in English. In the afternoon, the International Maritime Museum will symbolically “take over the baton” from the main event in Leer. The discussion will then continue with representatives from the maritime industry in a panel session. The focus will be on networking and exchanging ideas - a central element of these joint events.
