Liability

Currently, there are compulsory insurances for damage caused by oil (as cargo or bunker oil), for passenger transport, for wreck removal and against maritime claims. As of 29 November 2027, there will be a compulsory insurance for damage caused by the transport of hazardous and noxious substances (HNS). You must carry the appropriate certificates on board.
